Erica is a dedicated and dynamic SLP with 8+ years of experience ranging from early intervention to skilled services with individuals up to 108 years young. She graduated from Missouri State University with a Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Erica holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence through ASHA. She has a special interest in early intervention as the proud mother of an energetic one-year-old son. Her specializations include treatment of individuals with a history of stroke, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, apraxia, and swallowing disorders. Erica enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and son.

What do you like about being a Better Speech SLP?
“I love getting to work with such a diverse group of individuals from sea to sea. I am licensed in 8 states and currently work online with clients from 15 months to 90 years young! I enjoy working from home and the flexibility to spend time with my sweet family.”
Tell us something about yourself that is not well known.
“I knew I wanted to be a speech therapist during a high school tennis tournament. I ran off the court and proclaimed my plans to family and teammates after successfully utilizing breathing strategies as trained by my medical pediatric SLP after struggling with my exercise-induced, asthma-like condition of VCD (vocal cord dysfunction).”
